Abstract

The proposal to create the Center for Thromboembolic Diseases (CDT) fits within FAPESP's call for Science Centers for Development since it deals with an important public health issue, with a great social and economic. This center will contribute to obtaining access to epidemiological and cost-effective data on treatments, helping in public policy. An important tool, the development of an application for use from diagnosis to final patient guidance, can support providing quality care to patients assisted by SUS. Also, the creation of venous thrombosis prediction scores in cancer patients and complications of venous thromboembolism (VTE), such as post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS), recurrence, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CPTC), and death from the disease vascular will be valuable for use in the national and international territory. The search for new biomarkers in patients with acute thrombosis, or cancer and thrombosis, in addition to being incorporated into prediction scores, can also be explored as innovation, with the development of laboratory kits for rapid recovery. The training of hemostasis laboratories and the implementation of an external quality control service is another step forward in terms of quality for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with VTE. And finally, partnerships with private sectors will allow the investigation of rivaroxaban and 3D Biocurative of mesenchymal cells in TPS and venous ulcers, respectively. (AU)
