Abstract

This research project is designed to enhance the student's understanding of quantum machine learning, with a focus on using variational quantum circuits to estimate non-Markovianity in open quantum systems. Over a three-month exchange, the student will learn to set up and optimize these circuits, as well as explore quantum kernels to better analyze interactions between qubits and their environment. The skills gained will support the student's ongoing and future research, helping advance quantum computing and information.
