Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA) at the University of São Paulo. She was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo from 2015 to 2020. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Campinas (2005) and a master's degree in Functional and Molecular Biology from the same institution (2007).She completed her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the interdisciplinary School of Systems Biology at the GoFORSYS Center (Potsdam-Golm BMBF-FORschungseinrichtung zur SYStembiologie) through the University of Potsdam and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology (2011, Germany). She was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Product and Process Design at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the University of the Andes (Colombia) in the area of biotechnology and systems biology (2012).From 2012 to 2015, she was a researcher in the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics group at the National Biosciences Laboratory (LNBio) of the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). She has been a board member of the Brazilian Society of Bioenergy since 2020 and an elected member of the Council of the Brazilian Proteomics Society since 2024. She is the Chair of the Inclusion and Belonging Committee at CENA-USP (term: 20242026) and the Chair of the Internal Biosafety Committee at CENA-USP since 2022.She has experience in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on the molecular physiology of microalgae, systems biology, proteomics, mass spectrometry, regulatory networks, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and bionanotechnology.
